Centro Cultural Loures
Recognizing the uniqueness of this landscape, the proposal is based on a perspective of connection with the floodplain, recognizing it as a heritage of this place.
Our proposal reinforces the ecological, environmental and visual presences of this universe. Intervening by integrating the present dynamics is the dominant guideline.
The Cultural Centre is rooted as a hinge between an urban energetic world and the immensity of the rural world that lies along the vast floodplain accompanied by its own river.
It is intended that the new building will work as an anchor, structuring the territory, enhancing the experience within it, and that, due to its implantation and permeability, will clearly and unequivocally promote the transition between the urbanity of the centre of Loures and the rurality, so close to the back, serving the Cultural Center as a portal.

Identificando a singularidade desta paisagem, a proposta assenta numa perspetiva de conexão com a várzea reconhecendo-a como património deste lugar.
Propõe-se uma intervenção que reforça presenças ecológicas, ambientais e visuais deste universo. Intervir integrando as dinâmicas presentes, é a linha orientadora dominante.
O Centro Cultural implanta-se como elemento de charneira entre um mundo energético urbano e a imensidão de mundo rural que se avizinha ao longo da vasta várzea acompanhada pelo seu próprio rio.
Pretende-se que o novo edifício se revele como âncora na estruturação do território, potenciando a vivência no seu seio, e que, pela sua implantação e permeabilidade, promova de forma clara e inequívoca a transição entre a urbanidade do centro de Loures e a ruralidade, tão próxima a tardoz, servindo-lhes o Centro Cultural de portal.
